Three days and ~1,000 km from the Uyuni Salt Flat to the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve: the Cañapa, Hedionda and Colorada lagoons with their flamingos, the Stone Tree, the Sol de Mañana geysers, the Polques hot springs, the Salvador Dalí Desert and Laguna Verde at the foot of the Licancabur volcano.
Let’s be honest about the accommodation: the first night is a simple salt hostel; the second is a refuge at ~4,500 m with shared dorms and bathrooms, no heating, and nights well below freezing — which is why the expedition-grade sleeping bag is included, not rented.
Very high altitude circuit (P4): requires 72 h at altitude beforehand (La Paz, Potosí, Sucre or Titicaca). Start in Uyuni or in Tupiza (reverse route); end in Uyuni or cross to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile (+USD 20).
